Patricia A. Polizzi Walker, MS, CCC/SLP, is the Co-Director of the TSLC. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College in Rhode Island and a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the Sargent College of Allied Health Professions, Boston University. While in Boston, Patti had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the leading professionals in speech and language pathology as well as other health professions in the field of child development and adult recovery. After her clinical experience at a Boston Hospital, where she was working with adults, Patti returned to New Jersey and started her career working with adult stroke, traumatic brain injury and Alzheimer’s patients. In August 1998, Patti joined the Therapeutic Nursery at the JCC on the Palisades, a parent/child interdisciplinary pre-school program. She is licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey, is certified as a Language Specialist, and has professional affiliations with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association (NJSHA)
